Project Description

I supported the launch and promotion of several innovation hubs at Toronto Metropolitan University, including the Red Bull Gaming Hub and The Chrysalis. These spaces were designed to foster student engagement, collaboration, and creative experimentation across multiple disciplines within The Creative School.

My role focused on digital marketing and visual communication, creating assets that introduced each space, clarified their purpose, and promoted associated programs and events. I designed a wide range of materials, including on-site signage, posters, postcards, web assets, social media graphics, and event promotions, while ensuring all work aligned with TMU’s branding guidelines and maintained a cohesive, high-quality presence across both physical and digital touchpoints.

Goals & Constraints

  • Increase awareness of newly launched campus spaces among students

  • Clearly communicate how the spaces could be used for events, collaboration, and learning

  • Create designs that felt engaging, modern, and student-focused

  • Maintain consistency with Toronto Metropolitan University and partner brand guidelines

  • Support multiple launches and events within tight timelines

Strategy

I focused on creating clear, bold, and visually engaging designs that resonated with a student audience while remaining on-brand for institutional use. I collaborated closely with TMU Esports and internal stakeholders to ensure assets supported live events, activations, and ongoing promotions.

For both projects, I emphasized strong typography, high-contrast layouts, and adaptable formats that could work across signage, print, web, and social media. This approach ensured visual consistency across campus while allowing flexibility for different events and platforms.
